How to start a photography business/studio?
I am trying to convince my dad to fund my potential photography studio/business and he said he might help me but I have to develop a business plan first. I was just wondering if anyone on here owns their own photography studio or company and if they have any tips or help the could give me? How much does it cost roughly to start one? I am aware I would have to get the equipment like (computers, back drops, cameras, etc.) but how much would it cost to just start the business itself, like leasing a location/getting a business permit, etc.?

Why is the wastewater department so strict on the rules? Don’t these people have a conscience?
I’m helping to build a mock restaurant that will be used to teach mentally and physically handicap people how to work in a restaurant. The kitchen will be fully functional with all equipment and serving counter and dining area but will only be open to the public 1 day a week just to help pay the rent. The rest of the time we will be training these people how to do a job. There will be a program to place them in a job when they are ready. Our sticking point is the grease trap. Waste water is making us install a full scale grease trap even though the kitchen is only for training purposes and will generate very little waste. We already signed a lease and started the renovations but now have to come up with K more dollars to pay for this grease trap. I explained to them that this is non-profit and is to help these people find a job so they can function normally in society but they said they don’t care… they would not grant us exception to the code. Don’t they care?

Questions to ask before purchasing an existing sports bar/restaurant?
I am currently reviewing an option to buy an existing sports bar/restaurant? What are some questions outside of the obvious to consider when I meet with the owners?
I am aware of questions about payroll, cost of good sold, liquor license, maintenance contracts, equipment, and leasing arrangement? Are there any other imperative questions that one should consider being new to this industry?
